can i go nowhere with you?ok, i accept that the days of daily posts are dead.. but even once a week is becoming a struggle now. now if only some interesting things would happen in the gaps between posts =p
i can barely remember last week, but at the start there was some frisbee in there and meeting up with hoy and jamo for pancakes. pretty stock standard really.
on thursday was bunny's bday and i spent most of the day making a popup bday card. i didnt have time to take a picture but it was like a party scene with all her fav celebs doen up south park style (with real faces, but south park bodies). from what i can tell she quite liked it =)
we ate at this swish place called Pony in the rocks. although as fancy pants as it was, it didnt have its own bathroom. which meant u had to walk all the way down the way down the shared bathroom at the end of the arcade.
on friday i went to The Great Escape and has this great idea of driving to bunny's house then getting a lift to great escape (so i wouldnt have to find parking there). but this sorta backfired when we found ourselves stranded at the end of the festival wondering how the hell we'd get back to our cars in Strathfield =p
anyhoo the festivall was pretty mad. it was quite relaxed unlike other festivals it didnt really feel that crowded despite the crowds =p id quite like to try the camping option one of these days. since under 15 yo kids got in for free, the place was crwling with junior high kids all skanked out to impress other junior high kids who had no idea what music they were listening to.
highlights included Hilltop Hoods and Wolfmother (who we watched in part from on top of the ferris wheel =) but the music of the week is the Joel Plaskett Emergancy, check em out if you can.
Saturday activities included cooking and "How i Met your Mother" marathon. mad props go to b and k for cooking chilli crab and honey soy chicken wings =) the start of a very gluttonous weekend.
sunday started with much eating at Marigold yum cha with some frisbee and anime ppl of old. after filling up we headed to the art gallery to watch My Neighbour the Yamadas, which you may have seen since its quite old. but its still pretty awesome even though its not so much one long story as it is a bunch of skits.
afterwards we had coffee and cookies and cream cake..mm.. followed by a drive to the Cross (i drove! yay) where we ate more in the form of Hugo's Pizza. the pizza was good, but we got stuck waiting for ages and ended up at the end of a very long line to see Sneaky Sound System. a line which eventually turned out to be too long and we headed off to some 24 hr cafe in Neutral Bay instead, for more eating/drinking (i am about to explode at this point). it is however pretty cool to drive around sydney at night to jsut hangout wherever. and not jsut stay where i am cos of transport concerns =)
monday i was sick. id caught a cold from the previous night shenanigans. i spent most of the day watching MythBusters on tv and trying in vain to get PSX games to work on my PSP (anyone done this before?)
.. this post is too long already.. but heres some photos courtesy of mon http://himiko.fotopic.net/c1252109.html
