Yatta!gone are the days when of "i cant make it, theres no train stn". i passed my car Ps this morning. i was like way nervous.. but it wasnt that hard. after hearing bunny's auto-fail for not letting a jaywalker go past i was a bit unnerved by not one but 2 jaywalkers running out onto the road and stopping in the middle. i let them both go.. but apparently the rule is that if its a traffic light and theres a refuge island then you DONT let them go. but if its a regular street with no island then you MUST let them go. rather confoosing.
now i jsut need a car.. anyone out there selling a 1980s mini cooper .. with auto transmission?

wind upso im posting.. and its only been half a week. mostly cos im bored.. but partially also cos i think ive finally finished this CRM thing. i got paid for it on wed too, so its all done with, as soon as i do the handover on monday.
on friday night we went out for a bit. we wandered around trying to find somewhere which we didnt have to line up for where i could get ribs (mm). in the end we went to the seafood buffet at the Sheraton. it was a bit pricey at $95 a head, and whilst its pretty awesome i dont think its quite worth the price. outside of the seafood, most of the goodies are desserts. so its probly better value to have a nice light snack for dinner, then try the Sheraton for the $22 dessert buffet.
yesterday i had a busy day. i had to wake up super early for the Tropfest volunteers meeting which was at 9am sharp in east sydney. luckily i was driving, cos there were no trains.. and it basically took forever to get anywhere (more on that later). the meeting was pretty much nothing they couldve have jsut emailed to us =p but i guess u have to meet the ppl sometime before its on.
next i drove onto auburn to pick up a new puter for my parents. it was like this warehouse place but it seemed like a reasonable deal, and desperately need a new one. even after we'd taken it home and put it all together, it was still before lunchtime. its pretty weird how much longer a day seems when you've accomplished a few things before lunchtime. everything after that jsut seems like a bonus.
so the bonus for the day including finishing my coding and then later going to
Moonlight Cinema to use my bday gift vouchers. the movie was
Children of Men, which is basically about a future when all of mankind is infertile. it was a well made movie.. and the premise was original.. but the story was a lil bit bland. even the action in it was a bit generic it was mostly running away from various bad guys and could jsut have easily been in any movie.
*bends space and time with mind*gah.. another week! time sure is flying. but alas not much has been achieved in the recently passed week. yesterday i went to frisbee to pick up the Spirit prize, which was a rather average looking face towel with nice embroidery of NSL Spirit Winners 2007. i also managed to watch the Woebags go from a score of 5-1 down to 6-12 in the div 4 finals! a rather poor second half to say the least =p i played a lil bit of shoeless pickup (in work clothes), it was fun, although i could only play at about 60% due to my various injuries which just got worse as i managed to cramp up both calves.. despite not really running or jumped at all. *sigh*
we are getting ever closer to obtaining a grad (yay). my boss is very slowly trawling thru a stack of 66 resumes to get a short list of interview-worthy candidates. a whole bunch get thrown straight out of they arent permanent residents (which u need to be to work at the govt). one guy interestingly had "other" under "are you a permanent resident" which is never a good thing =p
on the weekend i managed to make an arduous trip into the city (which took forever due to cityrail woeness) basically i left my house at 2pm and arrived in the city at close to 4pm. at one point i was on a bus which somehow "forgot" to stop at martin place.. and went onward to kings cross without so much as a peep from the driver. like it didnt even go near martin place, it missed it by 3 blocks. needless to say the passengers (including me) who wanted to get off at martin place were none too impressed.
